Behavioral Objective Sequence
Based on over 20 years of work with children and
adolescents, the Behavioral Objective Sequence
(BOS) is a comprehensive, observation-based assessment tool
for use with students from elementary grades through
adolescence. BOS is designed to help educators assess
behavioral and social disorders and to determine
developmentally appropriate objectives. It includes 45
long-term goals and 233 behavioral objectives divided into
six subscales. BOS can be used as a bank of objectives, as a
rating scale, or as a structured observation system. It is
extremely helpful in making placement decisions, evaluating
programs, developing intervention plans, and in writing IEPs
or ITPs. The BOS manual includes 18 forms and checklists
that may be photocopied as needed. A free copy of the manual
is included with the BOSR software program.

Language Objective Sequence
The Language Arts Objective Sequence (LOS) is a
comprehensive, observation-based assessment tool for use
with students from early childhood through adolescence. It
is an essential assessment tool for special educators, Title
I teachers, remedial reading specialists, and English as
Second Language (ESL) teachers. LOS helps evaluate students'
current performance levels and identify specific goals and
objectives that will provide a foundation for the
development of appropriate instructional or intervention
plans. It consists of 312 objectives and 69 long-term goals
divided into nine subscales that comprise the typical
components of language arts curricula. It is especially
helpful for working with students who have an Individual
Education Plan (IEP), Section 504 plan, or any other
individualized instructional need. LOS can be used as a bank
of objectives, curriculum guide, rating scale, or structured
observation system.
