2010 Minnesota Author Study Series Friday, April 30 - John CoyJoin us for our first event in a new Author Study Series. On Friday, April 30, John Coy, will share his books, his inspiration and his craft. During the afternoon workshop, John will assist small grade-level groups in developing an author study to take back to their schools. Participants will receive two author study templates, one for teachers and one for students. Registration is limited to 32 participants.
John is a member of the NBA Reading All-Star Team as part of the Read to Achieve program. Crackback, his first young adult novel,is about high school football and his second, Box Out, is about high school basketball. He is working on a middle-grade series and the first book, Top of the Order, was published in March 2009. He lives in Minneapolis and visits schools nationally and internationally.
