Friday, August 6

More Tools to Ensure Your Efforts Pay Off for Students

This workshop will provide specific examples of tools that ensure that your efforts will pay off for your students presented by three seasoned teachers of students with EBD who will share best practice strategies. Participants will learn tactics useful for:

  • Practical, meaningful and efficient ways to collect data;

  • Implementing accommodations with fidelity; and

  • Working with collaborative service providers.

Beth Baker, Nancy Busse & Barbara Mackey

Beth, Nancy and Barbara are MIEBD mentor teachers from throughout Minnesota.

Barbara Mackey has a Master's Degree in Special Education and has been teaching students with emotional and behavior challenges for 11 years. Currently, she teaches the Success Program in Grand Rapids and works with challenging youth that have been removed from six different school districts. She loves the challenge of dissecting a behavior to develop and implement an intervention that helps a student become more successful.
