MIEBD Summer Institute"Practical Tools for Meeting the Needs of Students with Challenging Behaviors"Event Overview
The Minnesota Institute for Emotional and Behavioral Disorders (MIEBD) presents Summer Institute 2010. The Summer Institute is a continuation of a Minnesota initiative to provide quality training and support to professionals who work with students with challenging behaviors. The Institute is recommended for practitioners working toward EBD licensure and veteran personnel who would like professional growth opportunities, graduate elective credits and continuing education credits. The Summer EBD Institute is NOT supported by a grant from Minnesota Department of Education this year.
Fees
Course Requirements for University CreditAll summer class sessions (five days) are required. Coursework will continue through the fall semester and grades will be issued in December. Participants should expect graduate-level courses and assignments. Book and materials information will be provided with registration confirmation. Participants seeking university credit will register through St. Cloud State University on the first day of class and be required to pay tuition for Fall 2010 semester. Participants seeking attendance certification only (no official graduate credits) will not be required to pay SCSU tuition.
Timing & LocationClasses will run from 8 am - 4 pm each day. All classes and activities will be held at the Behavioral Institute for Children and Adolescents in Roseville, MN. Beverage breaks will be provided and participants will have a break for lunch on their own each day.
