Summer Institute for Working with
Students with Challenging Behaviors
The Minnesota Institute for
Emotional and Behavioral Disorders (MIEBD) presents Summer Institute 2008.
The Summer Institute is part of a Minnesota initiative to provide quality
training and support to professionals who work with students with
challenging behaviors. The Institute is recommended for practitioners
working toward EBD licensure and veteran personnel who would like
professional growth opportunities, graduate elective credits and continuing
education credits.
The Summer EBD Institute has been
designed to:

Offer four 3-credit
graduate-level courses (Characteristics of EBD, Behavior Management, two
Advanced Seminars) during two 5-day sessions
-
Provide learning experiences
that enrich campus course curricula
-
Use a group context that
facilitates a sense of "belonging" and a state-wide support network
-
Include opportunities for
participation and collaboration among faculty of participating
universities
