Make the Choice to
Help
Support
education, mental health and juvenile justice services for struggling
children and youth.
The Behavioral Institute for Children and Adolescents
works to improve the quality and array of services provided for children
and youth by enhancing the knowledge and skills of professionals and
parents. We welcome help from individuals, organizations and businesses.
Scholarship
& Tuition Assistance
Family Support - Successful
programs for troubled youth depend on the active participation and support
of families. While many parents seek to participate in classes, conference
and workshops dealing with positive parenting, they lack the financial
means. Family scholarship support helps to cover registration,
transportation, childcare costs.
Professional Support - Although
many businesses support their employees with tuition assistance programs,
professionals in the education, juvenile justice and mental health fields
rarely receive such benefits. Tuition aid and professional scholarship
support helps to cover university tuition costs, as well as conference and
workshop registration and transportation costs not covered by employers.
Tara Reilly Memorial Scholarship
-
The Tara Reilly Memorial Scholarship honors a bright young woman who was
murdered at age 18. The scholarship is available to a
junior, senior or graduate student in special education, juvenile justice,
mental health or a related field
who is committed to working with children
and youth with behavioral challenges. It is
our hope that more people will choose to work with children and youth with
behavioral problems so that we can end the type of senseless behavior that
took Tara's life.
